“Nah, you’re definitely much cuter,” Darren says, taking her hand in his as they walk back towards the main part of the pier. He looks around and just shrugs when she asks where to next, but he figures that since they’re sort of just winging it with this spontaneous date, that they can just walk the rest of the length of the pier. The sun was already low, but the ocean was still lit up and it would be a shame to not enjoy such a beautiful sight.
He leads her down the pier, swinging her hand playfully in between them and he just has this little dopey smile on his face as he keeps his eyes on Naya. He really did miss her, and he always felt like such a shit boyfriend when he was always away, but she didn’t give him any trouble at all for it and it was nice. He pulls her along the side, where the sun is best in view and leans against the pier, his hand never dropping hers, just wanting to talk for a few moments. At least until the sun set. It’s like they don’t even get those sort of moments either. “C’mere,” he says with a small smile. “Let’s talk for a bit. Once the sun sets we can get going,” he informs her, “I just.. I want to know how you’re doing.”
”Well that’s good. At least I know you aren’t going to leave me for it then.” Naya teases as she makes the bear give Darren a kiss on the cheek. She likes how they can be that cute couple that everyone wants to punch in the face. She hasn’t been able to be like that with someone in awhile. Darren’s silence is taken as an indicator that he’s going to lead the way. Not minding at all, Naya leans her head on his should as the walk the length of the pier, the wind from the ocean blowing her hair around a bit.
Naya walks towards the edge and leans against it with her torso as she looks out across the water. Her eyebrows furrow as she takes a sideways glance towards Darren. “I’m fine. How’re you?” She asks, confused.

What a coincidence! I actually just finished watching season nine of OTH last night and there was this one part where Brooke and what’s his face fell down some stairs and I started sobbing/talking saying “Remember that one time Brooke and Peyton pushed psycho Derrek down some stairs? Yeah, me too.”
